UniPrep Program (UPP)

An Academic Bridge from High School to University

UniPrep Academy, under Youth InnoLab Myanmar, leads the UniPrep Program (UPP), which aims to provide an academic bridge for high school graduates, preparing them for university-level education.

What is the UniPrep Program?

The UniPrep Program, main core program of the University Prep Academy, is designed for Myanmar students who are currently in high school or have recently graduated and are preparing to enter university. The UniPrep Program is a 3-month online learning journey that guides students through the essential knowledge every future university student should know.

This program focuses on essential academic skills, career exploration, and university readiness, offering a comprehensive three-month program to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required for success in higher education.

Vision

  • To empower Myanmar’s youth with the knowledge, confidence, and guidance needed to access quality higher education and become changemakers in their communities and beyond.

Mission

  • Provide accessible, high-quality academic preparation through interactive online learning designed to bridge the transition from high school to university.
  • Expose students to diverse fields of study and career pathways, helping them make informed and meaningful choices about their academic futures.
  • Support students with expert mentorship and ethical admissions guidance to ensure equitable access to local and international higher education opportunities.

By joining the UniPrep Program, you will:

Program Delivery

Classroom Sessions with Instructors

Live, instructor-led online sessions via Zoom, focusing on theory, interactive discussions, quizzes and case studies.

Session Frequency

Three sessions per week, each lasting 2 hours.

Town Hall Meeting

Reflection focusing on each interest, challenges and suggestions for the 4-week study, appreciation rewards for active students, and engaging games.

Students Activities & Achievements

Discussion Sessions

At the conclusion of each Field of Study Exploration week, structured open discussions are conducted with instructors. These sessions aim to enhance academic engagement, stimulate intellectual curiosity, and support students in critically reflecting on their academic interests through informed dialogue and professional insight.

Padlet Group Work

Padlet is used as a collaborative learning platform to facilitate group discussions for field-based assignments. Through structured brainstorming, students deepen their understanding of course content, exchange ideas, and engage in peer learning by considering diverse perspectives and viewpoints.

TownHall Rewards

The Town Hall Rewards session formally recognizes and appreciates students’ personal and professional skill development throughout their UniPrep journey — highlighting outstanding growth in social engagement, teamwork and collaboration, critical observation, community contribution, and creativity.

Capstone Project

The Capstone Project is the final step of every UniPrep student’s journey — a moment to turn what they’ve learned into something real. Each student will choose one of eight fields, submit a short project summary, and present their ideas and reflections in front of judges, building a portfolio piece for future university or scholarship applications.
